Jeepin’ with Sheriff Judd 2024

Jeepin’ with Judd 2024 has been a blast. good friends, good fun and a good charity. The price was raised a little for 2024 and the number of tickets sold was limited. What the participants got was almost no wait. We didn’t heart a complaint in the crowd. This year we ran moderate trails and night rides. Pam wasn’t overly thrilled that she wasn’t behind the wheel but didn’t feel comfortable enough with the trails to lead or tail the groups. Hailey and Pam were my navigators and radio operators. The event raises money for Polk Sheriffs Charities.
Hailey has decided she really likes off-roading. She was ready for next year before the event ended. We did find out this year that we need to remember to give her the downtime she needs. She was so busy with us and others in camp she never had the time to color, watch tv or play on her phone. By Sunday we were trying to figure out what was wrong because she was getting kind of naughty. Then we remembered and gave her the downtime she needed.
Being out in nature is so beautiful. We saw Eagles, hundreds of cattle, Egrets, Blue Herons and lots of others. The coolest sighting we had was on a night ride. A covey of 25-30 Quail blew out from their nighttime bedding place when we drove through. We also saw quite a few alligators several were huge. here is a big one 10 feet off the trail. he could care less that we were there.
